The basic process on making an DIY knit pattern.

Getting started with something; I am starting with my works.

Here below the process on a DIY knit pattern is explained very quickly.

Mentioning in the first article i am an knitwear designer also means i create DIY patterns which crafters can download from Ravelry and later on from this blog also, to knit by them self ; here is an example :

The amount of work going into one of these is much more than most people imagine. It includes the design process, draft, knitting up a full sized example in atleast one size , calculating sizes if there are more than one , write up the pattern line for line (in all sizes) and make graphic charts for it as well, putting it all into a PDF file , have sample photographed and then  have the pattern test knit in all sizes applicable by more than one person, before it finally can be published.

Sounds simple ? Well, it is more time consuming than it is complicated, and then the sizes part needs a decent mathematics skill.

An example of a project photo would be like this:

That´s enaugh for today;

Have a fabulous day everyone :

Introduction

A new blog. It is like a new beginning, anything can happen.

First:  Who is NinettaDesign ? Who is behind Ninetta´s Designs ?

A normal everyday chick. A knitwear designer and a freelance contractor.

Design interested, history geek, a music enthusiasist who plays several instruments, a photography amateur, nature lover , all of these apply and many more.

On this professional part of my blog you may find Design , Music or Photography.  I may or may not separate these later; moving a blog between domains is a tedious and time consuming work. I might even just work this up again from scratch, who is to know.....

Or I might  feature other Designers, Musicians or Photographers on here. Who knows.

I am not going to write up an essay of any kind today, this is more intended to be an intruduction of what is to come.

Have a Fabulous day;
Nina
